Shazam eliminates this cumbersome workaround by instantly moving the excess repair cost off the inventory line and onto a charge line.

When clicked, the user is presented with an input prompt that says, "Specify the amount for labor, misc, and part cost you wish to move to a new charge line item." By nudging the user to specify the amounts for labor, misc, and part costs, the over-and-above repair costs can be quickly categorized for accurate billing. From there, you can select the charge and generate a linked sales order to invoice the customer.

This ingenious method ensures that the overage is treated as an expense while maintaining complete linkage to inventory and transaction records. With Shazam, what used to be a multi-step manual process is now fast and cleanly integrated.

File attachments are critical, and with Vista-Suite Enterprise, you can attach files to many types of records, including repair orders. In that case, Vista-Suite Enterprise will automatically save those attachments to the repair order header files area for you.
